"With an aura of jazz super-cool, Paul and his live band ooze mesmerising delight at every twist and turn, varying from the deep pockets of raw emotion to the hypnotic rhythms surging through the air. Inspired by the art-line of Patrick Wolf, Anthony & The Johnsons and Bjork, his set will open up a world of both lyrical torment and dynamic wonder" Rich - Overhead Wires

"An experienced performer, Brighton-based Diello has a beautifully smooth controlled, haunting voice, particualarly so in his higher range."

Paul Diello – The Last Green Bottle
"On first impressions, it’s easy to think that Brighton-based Paul Diello is just another singer-songwriter. However, this is a surprisingly good debut offering. Full of strings and harmonies, this is an altogether high-quality album. None of the songs are particularly complicated, but the album’s simplicity makes it successful. Easy to listen to, you can find yourself halfway through the album – even though it feels you’ve only been listening to it for two minutes. The Walk Home is a great instrumental and Crime Scene is an album highlight."
(Polly Weeks - National Newspapers - August 2009)
"Paul Diello – has been compared to Eddie Izzard and Anthony and The Johnsons; that gives you a rough compass direction but Paul is actually entirely unique. He posses a stunning vocal and song writing talent that has brought him a whole raft of fans many of whom have fallen in love with him via his self released debut album “The Last Green Bottle." Hear his contribution to the SolarAid Compilation, you will not be disappointed" (Eugenie Arrowsmith - THE BIG CHILL - July 2009)
"From the minute he walks onto stage, Paul engages you in his world of torment and wonder. His ability to juxtapose his haunting ‘Antony and the Johnsons-esque’ voice with a performance akin to Eddie Izzard is refreshing and original. During his Brighton album launch there were moments of sheer genius with each track providing something different for the audience, whether it be heart-rending raw emotion or rhythms that course through your body and make you get up and dance. Paul Diello is simply breathtaking – a must-see artist for 2009."
